Reason #1 - Fab food
This was breakfast!
...so was this
...and drinks - frozen Kirin
...fresh (Very fresh) juices
Sushi at Tsukiji
A first for us - eating sushi off a (pristine) countertop
Reason #2 - sunglasses type of weather
Reason #3 - tall towers
- with great views
Reason #4 - Cleanliness and Politeness (the new hygiene factors)
Even the cement mixer was sparkling clean.
#4a- cyclists and pedestrians shared paths - no tempers (or lives) were lost
#4b - the toilets!
'Flushing Sound' and 'Powerful Deodoriser' were particular favourites. Happiness is a heated toilet seat :)
#4c - Helpfulness is a Japanese trait & a big plus for the perfect holiday.
This is a minimalist map drawn by a monk - which got us exactly where we wanted to go.
Reason #5 - a city that's buzzing, day & night
Tokyo's Eiffel Tower
Late night supper
I wonder what he was contemplating...
Reason #6 - a city that's Zen. This temple was so peaceful despite the bustle just beyond the trees.
Why have an ordinary tap...when you could twist a bird...
...or have a water spouting dragon
