Cuba has fascinated me for a long time. Was it the classic cars that have become synonymous with the country…or its history and the cult of Ché Guevara…or was it the Cuban connection to JFK, from the Bay of Pigs to the missile crisis and Lee Harvey Oswald… Whatever it was, I knew I HAD to visit Cuba before it got too touristy, and in 2017, I did. I hoped that this wasn’t going to be a case of anticipation being better than reality.

On my return, I met with very varied reactions when I said, “I just got back from Cuba.” ….from “Wow!” to “Why Cuba???” and “What’s there to do in Cuba??” I hope that this album provides some answers…
