A Sliver of Africa - portraits from Omo & Turkana
Africa has long fascinated me...the cradle of civilisation, the tribes which jumped out at me from the pages of National Geographic, the sheer remoteness of it all...
Over the course of 2 visits, I realised I'd visited most of the tribes in the Omo Valley and Lake Turkana regions - a man-made border placing the Omo Valley in Ethiopia and Turkana in northern Kenya.
These portraits are arranged from the northern-most tribe, the Mursi, followed by the Karo, Hammar and the Dassanech (who are right on the border with Kenya), and finally the Turkana.
