The Masai Mara – or ‘spotted’ land (the vast plains are ‘spotted’ with shrubs and trees…and, with animals too) belonging to the Masai people – has long occupied a place in my imagination. The migration season is dubbed the ‘greatest show on earth’ when wildebeest, zebra and gazelles move en masse, making treacherous river crossings to get to the ‘greener grass’ on the other side,

I had no doubt I was in for a real treat – the Mara, the company and the sensurround experience didn’t disappoint!
